Birthday Feista

I cannot believe today is the last day of August! Where did the month go? We had a Mexican themed birthday party here this past weekend and of course I had to use the Birthday Fiesta stamp set for the birthday boy!

I just love the fun banners in this set! I can't wait to use them on some scrapbook pages. This summer has been crazy busy and has not left me much time for scrappin' or stampin'. We've been so lucky to have had such beautiful weather so I've been outside a lot. Our veggie garden has done well so I've spent a lot of time in the garden and this past week I made some fresh salsa and pesto sauce...so good!

I've also been working on a couple large projects I can share here soon. Anyways...back to the card! LOL Colors used are Wild Wasabi, Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango & Daffodil Delight. To color the sentiment I just used my markers to create the multi-color effect.

Don't forget...today is the last day to use your Bonus Coupons and to order the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and coordinating framelits.

Enjoy your day!

Three Merry Mice

Today I have another Christmas card to share using the the adorable Merry Mice and the beautiful Christmas Pines stamp sets...two of my top picks from the upcoming Holiday Catalog.

If you are like me, and love to color, then you need this cute set! The little mice were watercolored using my Aqua Painter and Classic Inks to coordinate with the card stock used: Pool Party & Garden Green along with some Real Red.

The background was embossed with the Pine Bough Embossing Folder. The sentiment stamped at bottom right is one that is included in the Christmas Pines stamp set. A few Fancy Frost Sequins add some sparkle.

It's hard to believe this is the last weekend of August! :-( ENJOY!

Ghoulish Spooky Fun

Here's a card using my top Halloween picks from the new Holiday Catalog...

The first Halloween stamp set that jumped out at me is the Ghoulish Grunge set...this was a must have for me! I love all the great textures that are perfect at Halloween...or all year long. I used the cheese cloth looking one stamped over the entire layer of Perfect Plum to create a spooky background.

After I stamped the background I was ready to add some fun elements using the Spooky Fun stamp set and the Halloween Scenes Edgelit Dies. I absolutely love the spooky looking tree die! The tombstones were easily stamped and cut using it's coordinating framelit. The moon was sponged and then some Wink of Stella was added for a touch of shimmer.

To finish the card I tied some of the new Halloween Night Bakers Twine across the bottom. I know I'm going to have lots of fun using these new products! These few items are only the tip of the iceberg of what is being offered in the fantastic upcoming Holiday Catalog! Festive Merry Mouse

I received my Holiday Catalog pre-order on Friday! The new Holiday Catalog really is phenomenal! It was really hard to control myself...but for now I narrowed my wish list down to a few favorites for both Christmas & Halloween. My Christmas favorites include the adorable Merry Mice stamp set along with the beautiful Christmas Pines bundle. I used items from both of these sets to create this card.

The background was embossed with the Pine Bough Embossing Folder and a pine bough was also stamped in bottom right corner. There's a tiny star stamp included in the Merry Mice stamp set which I also used on the background.

The cute little mouse was watercolored using my Aqua Painter and various classic inks. I stamped an extra ornament, cut it out, and popped it up on Stampin' Dimensionals. For a little shimmer I used Clear Wink of Stella on the ornament and the little star hanging from his tail.

I used some retired Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon along with some of the new Fancy Frost Sequins to finish off my card.

If you don't already have a demo, contact me to get your copy of the Holiday catalog.

Bella for Baby

We recently got some exciting news...we are going to be grandparents! This past weekend there was a gender reveal party and now we even now know what the baby will be! I had never been to a gender reveal party before. It was so much fun, and very emotional to all find out the baby's gender together.  I passed down a special gift...the baby quilt my Grandmother stitched with love and gave to me when I was pregnant with my son (the daddy to be). Here is the card that I created to go along with the quilt.

I thought adorable little Bella would be cute on a card for a little girl or boy. For the background I used a retired set called Cuddles & Tickles...which makes this card perfect for a Flashback Friday post. The little foot prints create an adorable background and then I used a little heart (on the girl side) and a tiny star (on the boy side) both are included in the Labeler Alphabet set.
I used this great new alphabet set for the words girl & boy on the front and to also create the sentiment on the inside.
I know...it's a little crooked! I messed up on the word joy, but did pretty good on the rest. So...are you wondering if its going to be a girl???
or a boy???
We will be blessed with a GRAND DAUGHTER in January! I'm the mother of two sons, so it's going to be extra fun having a baby girl to spoil!

Serene Starfish

I just received the Serene Scenery 6x6 stack of papers in my last order and these are all just so beautiful! By simply stamping this starfish from Picture Perfect and adding some Burlap Ribbon you can create a card in a snap!

If you don't already have the Serene Scenes DSP I highly recommend getting this paper! I also stamped the word "love" from the Jar of Love stamp set in the sand along the bottom. I think this is perfect for this masculine anniversary card.

For the inside of the card I used a couple sentiments from Flourishing Phrases. The sandy sea shell border is from a retired set called Beautiful Beach.

Flourishing Butterfly

I've been wanting to try this simple mask and sponge technique using the Bold Butterfly Framelits for a while.

First, I cut a butterfly from a piece of copy paper a big enough to cover by background panel and used temp adhesive to hold it in place. Using Sponge Daubers I sponged Marina Mist over the entire butterfly. Then, using Elegant Eggplant I lightly sponged just the edges.

With the mask still in place, I stamped the pretty floral image from Thoughts and Prayers several times to fill in the inside of the butterfly. After removing the mask I stamped the sentiment from the new set Flourishing Phrases.I just love the font used on this set! I die cut the border using the Flourish Thinlits...my favorite new dies from this catalog! I think this adds a nice finishing touch without being too much...I try to keep sympathy cards more clean and simple.

Flourishing Phrases Thank You

Yesterday I had most of the afternoon & evening set aside to spend working in my studio. I didn't accomplish as much as I had hoped, but it was wonderful having some time to play with my neglected stamping goodies! I've been working on some projects that I cannot share just yet, but I did make a quick thank you card using the beautiful Flourishing Phrases stamp set and the coordinating Flourish Thinlits.

Since I have not done much stamping recently, I was nice to have a little inspiration to get me started. I was inspired from a very pretty, clean and simple design I saw on Pinterest created by Tammy. I changed mine up a bit. As you can see, I used different colors: Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry. I also used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get exact placement of the leaf image onto my Mint Macaron background layer, to make it look as though the leaf extends from main panel onto background.
